Part of the joy of dance is sharing your growth on stage with supportive family, friends, and peers. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of performance opportunities for every dancer to shine and celebrate their progress!
Our Annual Recital
Our annual recital takes place each May, and is an opportunity for dancers to show what they have learned throughout the school year. Each year the recital has a new exciting theme, and lots of fun routines for everyone to enjoy! The recital is always free and welcome to the whole Anchorage community.

Competitions
Dance competitions can be a great way for students to work toward a goal while building teamwork, confidence, and discipline. Participation is always optional at our studio. Rather than holding auditions, classes are invited when teachers feel the dancers are ready and will have a positive experience.

Volunteer Performances
Barbara's School of Dance loves to give back to the community and share our love of dance! Volunteer performances can be a great way for dancers to gain confidence in front of an audience, and see how dance brings joy to those around them!
